CANCELLED

Activity of visiting Cianjur's earthquake area has been cancelled for some reasons. The donations will go to Ciamis then, another region in southern West Java where the victims are less touched. LCI District 307-B Region 3 has loaded with 250.000 pack biscuits, one truck full of bottled drink water, blankets, milks and kinds of daily food. Team will depart on Monday, Sept 14. Lions will be officially greeted by Ciamis city's Regent.

EARTHQUAKE MEETING

September 2, 2009 earthquake in Tasikmalaya, West Java. The meeting held at VDG Lita's house, assigned PCC Anton S. Hadiarja as chairperson of LCI 307-B Region III task force. The team will down to a remote area near Cianjur city to help more than 200 families on Saturday, Sept 12. Donations come from clubs of Region III, other clubs of Lions Clubs Indonesia, Lions Clubs Indonesia Mengabdi Foundation, Lions Clubs Indonesia Foundation, private companies and personals. Before this regional activity, some local Lions Clubs already moved on the early stage of the disaster.

ORPHANAGE RUMAH KASIH

Lembang, Bandung, West Java. September 5, 2009. Quite lively was the little house which accommodates 21 children, because 19 club members participate in this visit. 

VISITING ORPHANAGE YAYASAN CAHAYA KASIH

The foundation located in Bandung, accommodates 20 children which mostly are 1, 4 and under 7 year old.

Della Yudhana

Della is the youngest daughter of Lion Emilia Karjadi, charter member of LC Bandung Sejahtera. She joined Lions Clubs International Youth Exchange program to Japan and hosted by Tokai Lions Club of LCI District 334 A. During her stay with two lovely & wonderful host parents there, July 15 to August 8, 2009, Della officially met the Mayor of Tokai City. She joined the Lions Youth Camp, performed Indonesia traditional dances, and of course gathered with club members in Tokai. Della's also on the newspapers and local TV news, awesome!

YOUTH EXCHANGE

Jorrit van Niekerk from the Netherlands visited Bandung in his Youth Exchange program. He was hosted by L. Emilia Karjadi during his stay in Bandung July 31 to August 4, 2009. The host family and club members took Jorrit to many places of interest in Bandung and testing various local food.

National Children Day 

The celebration held by the governor of West Java Province, Mr. Heryawan & Lady. Almost 1,500 children from various schools were gathering at Gedung Sate, performing traditional pop arts, many of them are children with disabilities.
